+ How much time should pass between tanning sessions?

The FDA requires 24 hours between tanning sessions. Versa TAN's software will not allow you to send more than one uv signal within that time frame.

+ How will I know how long to set a tan for if I go in after hours?

During your initial sign up, you will take a skin typing test that will allow us to make time recommendations specifically for you! Our system stores this information, and will adjust your recommended max time for each unit after hours.

+ Do I need to make an appointment?

No! We know our clients are busy and we make our services as convenient as possible by allowing our clients to stop in whenever they choose to do so. The best part is that because we have so many units available for you to use, there is very little if any wait time.

+ What should I wear when I tan?

All of our beds and booths are in private rooms, which gives you the freedom to wear whatever you wish or do not wish to wear. However, please adjust tanning time accordingly if you are exposing areas that don't typically see uv light.

+ What is the difference between low pressure and high pressure tanning?

Low pressure units output more uvb rays, which is what is triggering melanin production and The ever so important, vitamin d. High pressure units, UVA beds, oxidize preexisting melanin by utilizing sophisticated light filtering systems that cancel out out 99.9% of UVB.

+ What is the difference between your levels of tanning?

We have 4 different levels of tanning at versa TAN. Levels 1-3 are our low pressure levels and are categorized by how much uvb they emit, meaning level 1 has the lowest amount of UVB, 2 is a midlevel, and 3 is going to be the strongest dosage of UVB we offer. our high pressure units are refferred to as our level 4 beds.

+ Should I use a tanning lotion?

Absolutely! Versa TAN is the only salon in Billings with access to an exclusive line of indoor tanning products that are proven to increase your melanin production by 30-60%! Your skin will also attract more light energy when it is moisturized vs dry.

+ What brand of tanning lotion does Versa TAN carry?

We only carry the best of the best, MR International. We are the only salon in the greater Billings area granted access to stock these products.

+ Do you carry at home spray tan lotions or mists?

Yes! Anyone that's tried our Versa Spa knows how amazing the solution and quality of the product is- which is why we offer at home bronzing and maintenance from Versa Spa that offer the same top of line ingredinets as our automated booth.

+ Can I use outdoor tanning oils or lotions?

No way. Not only are these products not specially formulated for your skin during indoor use, but any oil based products are prohibited at versa tan. This membership rule is fully enforced since oils cause the bed acrylics to weaken and break.

+ Do I really need eye protection?

Yes. We do not allow people to tan at versa tan without using iwear or goggles.

+ Who sanitizes the units after hours?

You do! During your initial sign up, we will go over how to use the dissinfecting supplies available in every room at Versa. After you're finished with your session, we ask that you take a moment to apply these techniques to ensure the bed is ready for the next patron. However, we also recommend doing this before you tan if you visit us after/before staffed hours.

+ Can I add points or check my account online?

Not at this time, but we're working on it! If your card is encrypted and saved to your account, you can purchase points at anytime through the kiosk in salon or through the attendant when staffed.

+ Can I add points to my account if you aren't staffed when i come in?

Yes! Once you log in to your account using our touchsreen, our software will register that you do not have enough points to tan and give you the options to purchase additional points at the kiosk!

+ What if I forget my passcode after hours?

No problem! If you forget your 4 digit code, any of the steps, or have any questions after hours we are still available to help. Simply call us, and let our call care agents know you would like to be directed to management. Once your call is patched through to us, we can set you up remotely from our phones.
